Alisagar Deer Park is located in Nizamabad district of Andhra Pradesh. The Alisagar was constructed in 1931 by the Nizam.

Flanked by natural hillocks and lovely flower gardens, the lake and its surroundings are rich in scenic beauty.

Near the reservoir is situated the Alisagar Deer Park, which was established in 1985. The park hosts many deer species.

This is a good picnic spot for tourists. From Nizamabad there are regular buses to Alisagar.

Srisailam-Nagarjuna Sagar Tiger Reserve, Srisailam

Extending over an area of 3568 Sq. Km, rich in flora & fauna the Reserve is home to wildlife such as Tigers, Panthers, Jackals, Striped Hyenas, Small Indian Civet, as well as various species of Deer and Reptiles.

The 'Chenchu' are primitive tribals indigenous to the area. The magnificent Ethipothala falls located llkms from Nagarjunasagar Dam are definitely worth seeing.

How to Reach This Place

Road : 190 kms. from Kurnool & 216 kms. from Hyderabad.
Srisailam is well connected by APSRTC and Devasthanam buses with Hyderabad, Mahaboobnagar, Nalgonda, Devorkonda, Guntur, Vijayawada, Kurnool, Ongole, Mahanandi, Mantralayam, Anantapur, Tirupati and Chitradurg among other places.

Rail : The nearest railway stations are at Kurnool and Nandyal on the Guntur-Hubli Road at a distance of 158-km. Markapuram (85 kms.)

Air : Hyderabad (216kms.)

The Corbett National Park is located in the terai region of the state of Uttar Pradesh, straddling the undulating Shivalik foothills of the Himalayas. Located around 300 kilometres away from New Delhi, it is India's first ever national park.

Alisagar Deer Park Andhra Pradesh was established in 1936 as the Hailey National Park, following the advice of the hunter-naturalist Jim Corbett.

Alisagar Deer Park Andhra Pradesh covered 520 sq. kilometres in 1986, and a proposed extension of 588 sq. kilometres is under consideration. Project Tiger, which was set up with the help of the World Wildlife Fund, was launched at Dhikala, in the Corbett National Park on April 1, 1973.

Alisagar Deer Park Andhra Pradesh, This project was aimed at saving the Indian tiger (Pantheratigris tigris) from extinction. Over 50 mammals, 580 birds and 25 reptile species have been listed in the Corbett National Park. The insect life is also astounding, noticeably specially after the monsoons.

But undoubtedly, the jewel of the Corbettis the Indian tiger. It was estimated that in 1984, the tiger population was 90 in this park. Leopards as well as lesser cats such as the leopard cat, jungle cat, fishing cat are also found here.
