The jhum is the process of burning the cultivated lands after the food is harvested. This is one of the crude forms of harvesting but it still continues among the tribesmen. All the people both young and old join each other for celebrating this famous festival. They adorn themselves with flowers and wear traditional dresses and costumes and sing and dance.
